Pony Trekking

We cater for riders of all ages and experience from aged 5 upwards.  These treks can be either one or two hours long and are escorted across Bodmin Moor at a pace suitable for the experience of the party riding.  We can also offer a pub ride for those who fancy a gentle ride across the moor to the picturesque village of Blisland, where we hitch up the horses on the village green just outside the Blisland Inn for a refreshment stop.

Hacking & Trail Rides

These are available for the experienced riders with suitable riding abilities.  Riders may be assessed on a short hack to begin with to establish the level of their competence.  These rides can be up to 4 hours long.

The Rocky Tor & Woodland Trail 

This trail takes you across the moor and over the top of Alex Tor, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the moorland and beyond to the North Cornwall Coast before riding on further to Roughtor.  The scenery then makes a dramatic change into the relaxing, tranquil streams & woodlands for a quick packed lunch stop.  On the homeward journey you will ride alongside the Tors, the Hall of King Arthur, various stone circles and settlements. 

The Moorland & Blisland Trail

This trail takes you across the moor and off towards Delford Bridge for a splash through the river.  The ride then takes you up across Kerrow Downs, on through Bradford and out to the vast Manor Common.  The ride will then travel through Carbaglet, across Metherin Downs and onto Cassacawn.  From Cassacawn it is a quiet, gentle ride down a pretty lane into the delightful, picturesque village of Blisland.  Once in Blisland we hitch up the horses on the village green, just outside the Blisland Inn and have a lunch stop.  Once able to mount up again, we head up through Pendrift onto Pendrift Downs past the Jubilee Rock and are homeward bound.
